Many companies believe they are not susceptible to fraud. Unfortunately, such an attitude increases the chances of your being victimized. Desperate people do desperate things and even the most trusted employee may devise a scheme to misdirect assets and funds from your accounts to theirs. Sisterson professionals have experience investigating frauds, preparing reports of our findings, and, if necessary, testifying to our findings.
Fraud is in the details. Reviewing and interpreting the available information
is only one part of a fraud investigation. Knowing who to interview and when
to conduct those interviews is equally important. For example, if a fraud involves collusion by multiple parties, the timing of the interviews of those parties must be carefully planned. It is critical to maintain tight control over information as the fraud investigation progresses. The tighter the circle of knowledge is, the better the chance of uncovering and documenting
the fraud.
We will work with you and your internal resources to develop an approach to the investigation. We have worked with large and small companies, conducted investigations independently, with a company’s internal resources, lawyers or legal authorities.
