Audit & Accounting Services:

Review and Compilation Engagements

For years, CPAs have been requested to provide clients with reviewed or compiled financial statements. At Sisterson, we recognize our clients’ needs for these services. A review is the performance of inquiries and analytical procedures to provide the accountant with a basis for expressing limited assurance that there are no material modifications that should be made to the financial statements in order for them to be in conformity with generally accepted accounting or with another comprehensive basis of accounting such as the income tax basis of accounting or the cash basis of accounting. The objective of a review differs significantly from an audit of financial statements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. A review does not provide a basis for the expression of an opinion regarding the financial statements as a whole.

In addition, we provide compilation services that constitute the presentation in the form of financial statement information that is the representation of management or owners without the expression of any assurance on the financial statements. The objective of a compilation differs significantly from a review as no assurance is contemplated.

Sisterson is a firm that is experienced and qualified to perform these services. Our partners and managers are supported by a professionally-trained staff who is available to serve clients' needs as they arise.  We provide review and compilation services for the following type entities:
