Requirements:
Trust knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Fiduciary income tax returns (Forms 1041) for simple as well as complex trusts that make distributions (required and/or discretionary), including CLATs (Charitable Lead Annuity Trusts); CRUTs (Charitable Remainder Unitrusts); Grantor trusts, including intentionally defective grantor trusts, crummy trusts, GRATs (Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts); QSSTs; ESBTs
Split-Interest Trust Returns (Forms 5227)
Trusts with complex issues (e.g., Receive K-1s from partnerships, such as investment partnerships, PTPS and hedge funds; Investment interest limitations; Passive activity losses)
Calculating fiduciary accounting income
Solid tax research skills
Experience evaluating and mentoring staff
Ability to schedule and monitor multiple jobs and staff members, as well as to monitor work in process and perform billing analysis
Great communication skills as you may communicate often with clients and maintain client relationships
Either CPA, Masters in Taxation or law degree preferred, but not required
Requirements:
Public accounting firm audit experience (2+ years)
CPA certification preferred, but not required
Thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP)
Excellent technical and project management skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
BA or BS in Accounting or related field required
Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
Requirements:
2-5 years of tax return preparation experience (forms 1065, 1120, 1040, 990)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Excellent technical and project management skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism to provide excellent customer service to clients
CPA not required
Will have the opportunity to work on both audit and tax engagments

GPA 3.0 or higher
Accounting Major
Not required to have 150 credits

This 8-week program will provide hands-on learning on client engagements with direct supervision from members of the engagement team. Interns will have the opportunity to work on both audit and tax engagements.
