Lisa D. Edwards

Manager - Employee Benefit Plan Services

Lisa Edwards is a Manager at Sisterson with over twenty-five years of experience assisting employers and non-profit entities with their pension, retirement and health and welfare benefit plans. Lisa joined Sisterson in 2013 and is responsible for overseeing the area of reporting and disclosure under ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code.

In particular, Lisa is recognized for her extensive experience and ability in the area of annual reports (Form 5500 and associated schedules). In addition, she regularly assists employers gain substantial penalty relief for late and deficient Forms 5500 under the Department of Labor’s Delinquent Filer Voluntary Compliance (DFVC) Program. Lisa has particular expertise in reporting for plan mergers, acquisitions, and terminations, stub plan years, master trusts, 403(b) plans, multiemployer pension plans, group insurance arrangements, multiple employer welfare arrangements (MEWAs), and plan consolidation as a result of wraparound health and welfare plan implementation.

Aside from 5500s, Lisa’s experience in the retirement plan area includes qualified retirement plans such as traditional defined benefit pension plans, defined contribution plans including 401(k) plans, and 403(b) plans of non-profit entities. Lisa regularly provides assistance and advice relative to examinations by the IRS and DOL.

Lisa and her husband have four children, including one set of twins, and reside in Mars, PA. Lisa enjoys hiking, camping, and kayaking in her spare time.
